ICAB goes beyond scientific lectures and presentations, also offering social and networking moments. The event aims to provide an enriching and dynamic experience. This experience includes a visit to the innovative Allmicroalgae, a social dinner at the Beer Museum for a more relaxed atmosphere, sessions dedicated to literary works for the public, and also a gastronomic experience with products developed under the Algae Vertical project by the co-promoters involved.

Liliana Martins Silva

School Libraries Network, Ministry of Education

Liliana Martins Silva has been working at the Coordinating Office of the School Libraries Network, Ministry of Education, since 2017 and is actively engaged as a trainer in the fields of Citizenship and Sustainability. From 1994 to 2017, she taught Philosophy and Psychology at the secondary education level, holding various positions, including school librarian. She holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon.

Lídia Bulcão

Secretary of State
Maritime Affairs Portuguese Republic

Born on the Azores archipelago, led her career advocating for the ocean.

Multidisciplinary team leader with a large background in the media.

She holds a degree in Communication Sciences, from Nova University of Lisbon and a postgraduate in Administrative Law of the Sea from Lisbon University.

Former member of the Portuguese Parliament, where she was rapporteur for more than thirty European maritime initiatives and worked on the first law that established the Bases to Planning and Management of the National Maritime Space, in which Portugal was the pioneer.

She had been writing about the ocean for 30 years, including literary short stories.
